I’m Meg, and I’m currently living between London and Penzance, Cornwall, which is referenced throughout my work. My pieces are usually a combination of photographs, later used as subjects for acrylic paintings. Throughout these pieces, I attempted to mimic the feeling of wondering through a familiar town. My selected colour palette and minimal brush strokes aim to replicate the misty, gloomy colours associated with a walk through a weathered urban area. The overall feeling I want to induce is nostalgia, with my paintings acting as windows to a cold English winter.
